Commercial Business Electrical Services

An outdated, faulty electrical system or components carries a risk to your business from fire or damage to business critical electrical equipment - a risk you shouldn't ignore.

Think about the damage to property and equipment resulting from a fire, not to mention the cost of replacing equipment and the loss of business while you find new premises or wait for the existing ones to be renovated.

How we can help your business

Commercial electrical installations often handle higher loads and therefore require an experienced, competent electrician.

As members of the National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers (NAPIT) and the Competent Person Scheme (CPS), you can be assured that we are registered and certificated as competent, qualified to provide Building Regulations Compliance Certification and that we have full liability insurance for your protection and peace of mind. Find out more about our competencies.

But as important as the competencies of an electrician are, you also want an electrician to be professional, reliable, responsive and timely, not cut corners, communicate effectively so there are no misunderstandings, and stick to their word. These qualities are important when you want an electrician you can trust. See what our customers say about our qualities.

This combination of competency, financial backing, experience and the professional and personal qualities you would want from an electrician, makes us a good choice for your business.

Testing and Certification

Having your electrical installation and appliances inspected and tested regularly not only demonstrates you are meeting your legal safety obligations, but it's also good for your business. It is vitally important to detect potential safety issues and prevent them from causing fires, damage to equipment and from causing harm to staff and customers.

From a legal perspective, all businesses have an obligation to make sure that:

  1. All electrical installations are safe (e.g. sockets, wiring and fittings). See Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) for more information.
  2. All appliances used by staff and customers are safe, ranging from staff kitchen appliances to specialist electrical equipment. See Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) for details.

The independent charity Electrical Safety First recommend that a periodic inspection and test is carried out by a registered electrician at least once every five years for businesses. See our Periodic Inspection and Testing page for more information about this service.

Failure to comply with your legal responsibilities can lead to prosecution and may invalidate your insurance policies. Our aim is to help you avoid this.

As a member of the National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers (NAPIT), we specialise in inspection, testing and certification to current BS7671 regulations, so you can be confident that we will do a thorough job of making sure your business' electrical installation and appliances are safe.

Maintenance and Fault Finding

Our maintenance and fault finding services can help you in two ways. Firstly, our responsive maintenance service is there for when you have an electrical problem. If something goes wrong, we can diagnose the problem and repair it for you.

Secondly, we provide preventative maintenance that can help prolong the life of your electrical equipment and installation. By identifying problems early, we can prevent them from deteriorating and causing more serious damage.

We can also provide you with a customised electrical maintenance package that takes care of maintenance, repairs and all your legal and safety responsibilities. No more worrying about whether your business electrical installation or electrical equipment are in a safe condition, or whether you are legally up to date with inspections and testing; we can take care of it all. We can also include an emergency call out service too, if you need it. See our electrical maintenance contracts page for more information.
